Adoption Requirements: • You must be 21 years of age • All current pets in the household MUST be spayed/neutered and current on shots (yes, we do call and verify this information) • We do not place female boxers with other female dogs • Attendance at a professionally run obedience course is a requirement of adoption! • We do not adopt out dogs as gifts • All pets are family companions! |

On March 9th, 2010 when a good Samaritan walked into her house after grocery shopping, she found a surprise. A stray boxer was relaxing on her couch! Apparently the dog had gotten through the front gate, around to the backyard, through the dog door and made himself at home. He defiantly picked the right couch to lounge on! He was a pitiful sight. He was emaciated. There were open wounds around his head and face. Both eyes had severe infections and discharge.
On March 10th, the owner of the couch filed a found dog report with the local animal control and had the dog scanned for a microchip. |

The next day the new doggie guardian named the boxer “Mr. Chuckles”. He had a much needed vet visit and was prescribed antibiotics and eye meds. It is estimated that Mr. Chuckles was alone on the streets for weeks before wandering into the perfect home.
Now, two weeks later, Mr. Chuckles is up to a much healthier 60+ lbs. He is good with kids, cats and other dogs. He is currently living in a home with 3 other dogs. Mr. Chuckles is gentle, loving and tolerant. He is housebroken and friendly. So far in his foster home he has not demonstrated any bad habits or destructive behaviors. |
