Boxers are loyal family companions
and court jesters!
The Boxer coat is short and clean, needing only an occasional brushing or bath.
Boxers are the clowns of the dog world - they love attention and exercise, but need discipline to be good family companions.
Boxers must have formal obedience training - they are big, strong dogs that need to learn boundaries and acceptable behavior.
Boxers intrinsically love children and are gentle, caring and affectionate family members.
Often times Boxers will demonstrate same-sex aggression. It is NEVER recommended to place two females together nor to get two dogs from the same litter or two pups at the same time.
Boxers tend to be stubborn and somewhat difficult to train.
Not for the frail, weak-willed, or faint of heart, Boxers require exercise and interaction.
Boxers will NEVER thrive in an outdoor environment. They are first and foremost companions. Left outside their health, both mental and physical, will suffer.
