When Zoinks first came to Boxers and Buddies he was 3 months old. He hasn't changed much in the last year, so we're going to keep his profile about the same.

Zoinks is a bundle of energy and fun. He would love a family filled with rowdy kids that he could wear out day after day. Zoinks would love an active single or couple to run, hike, camp or travel with. He fears nothing and would be a great dog for outside activities. The shepherd mix in him gives him a longer, warmer coat than most boxers and a snout more able to process warmer or colder air temperatures than your average boxer.

But don't worry - none of the shepherd in him could take out the boxer's jester-like nature!

Zoinks is outgoing and funny. He is definitely the class clown of Boxers and Buddies. He will do anything for a laugh and fears NOTHING!

The first day he came to the rescue, he ran out into the play yard, splashed trough a puddle and tackles the biggest, bossiest dog at the rescue. Then proceeded to bounce around him licking his face and chewing on the other dog's back paws... Yep, that's Zoinks.

So you maybe wondering why a great dog like Zoinks was returned to Boxers and Buddies. The truth is he wasn't returned. He was let down. Zoinks' adopter didn't feel like taking care of him. Even though he was crate trained, the adopter didn't feel like putting him in a crate, preferring instead to leave him alone and bored in a yard with a fence that he could jump.

When Zoinks jumped out, the adopter didn't even make an effort to find him - all of his identification tags had been removed. When a neighbor found him and returned him, instead of notifying Boxers and Buddies that Zoinks was neglected and unwanted, he was given away to another person unqualified to be a fit home. Zoinks was again left unattended and unloved in a backyard. This time when he escaped, he was taken to the animal shelter.

The previous adopter may have removed all of his identification, but they couldn't remove the microchip registered to Boxers and Buddies. Despite all he has been through, Zoinks remains a happy-go-lucky dog. He loves everyone and currently lives in a cage-free dog daycare where he can run and play until his heart's content (www.dogz-inc.com)!

Zoinks is housebroken and crate trained. He is a sweet boy that wants nothing more than to be part of your life. Please give him a chance!
