Yikes got his name the first day he came to us. He saw the car and said "YIKES!" Then he saw the house and said "YIKES!" When he came into the dog yard for the first time he said, "YIKES!"
After about 10 minutes in the dog play yard with everyone else, Yikes said, "YIPPEE!"
Yikes is a very timid-at-first fellow. As soon as he is comfortable, he is ALL puppy. He loves to run and play and LOVES other dogs!
Remember, Yikes is a puppy, so that means he will engage in puppy behaviors. Without training, modeling and supervision, Yikes will go potty in the house, he will chew on things he isn't supposed to and he will jump on people. If left to his own devices he will dig holes and bark. He is a puppy which means obedience training and manners.
With some time and effort, Yikes will be the perfect dog - he's just waiting for you and a chance to grow up in a loving and caring home.
