Adoption Requirements: • You must be 21 years of age • All current pets in the household MUST be spayed/neutered and current on shots (yes, we do call and verify this information) • We do not place female boxers with other female dogs • Attendance at a professionally run obedience course is a requirement of adoption! • We do not adopt out dogs as gifts • All pets are family companions! |
| Dear Sarah and friends, I just wanted to let you know that Spuddy is getting along great in his new home. Yesterday we went to Frenchman's lake with our little boat and took all the boys. Spuddy had a great time and really likes the boat. I've attached some pictures for your website. Thanks for everything. Pam, Brett, Benelli, Weatherby and of course, Spuddy. |

Sooo... Spuddy is a purebred Golden Retriever. He loves everyone and has a very relaxed and kick back personality. Spuddy is friendly people and other dogs. He is housebroken and VERY well mannered. Spuddy's family was forced to move and were no longer able to keep him. I don't think the reality that he has lost his home and family has sunk in yet. We would like to get him into a new home before it does. It's unfortunate that Spuddy's family moved to a new home and couldn't take him. |

It's unfortunate, but in some ways it's good. Spuddy has a weight problem. Well, it's more then a problem, he's obese. We don't mean slightly overweight - we mean that Spuddy, a regularly 76-80 pound dog on average - weighs close to 200 pounds. He needs to lose over 100 pounds to be healthy again. The good news is that Spuddy is a young dog, he's happy and on a special diet and exercise plan. The weight should come off in no time. As the weight comes off, we're sure that Spuddy will be as good as new! Can you love her the same way? |
