We have fallen in love with Maddie and Rylee; they are so cute, and quickly adapted to our home as thiers.  Maddie in fact is more active than Rylee.  She wants to play ball all the time!  She is no longer timid and scared, and Rylee of course is enjoying exploring, and seems to love to eat paper.  Everytime I think I have cleaned up all the paper tidbits she might be able to find she is chewing on more . . .it is great motivation to keep our home nice and clean. They follow us everywhere, and sooo adorable.

The questions I had were that we only recieved the owner history on Maddie and we were wondering if one was filled out for Rylee.  Also, it is no big deal because we went to pet smart because it is closer to us, but just so you know that the petco coupons were expired.

Also, when we were going to sleep the first night we put them in the hall the first night, and maddie scratched and jumped at the door and whined, but after about 30 minutes and then went to sleep.  We tried the same thing the next night (but we had been gone longer that day) and she would not stop.  We put them in the room in the house we were originally going to have them sleep in; she continued and figured out how to jump at the door handle and get out of the room and was again at our door whining and scratching.  We put them in the garage with the doggy door to outside, and she continued and soon Rylee was howling outside our window.  I ended up sleeping on the couch with them in the living room and Maddie went to sleep at 3:00 am.

Yesterday we cleaned up our room and let them sleep in thier beds in our room and that went much better and I think that is were they will sleep, but if they act up and don't let us sleep what can we do?      Also, Do you think we should continue to clean thier ears daily or is weekly sufficient?  Maddie's ears appear to look clean, and I have cleaned Rylee's once.  THey are soo good; they let us brush them, and they seem to enjoy going for walks. They are such good dogs; and oh so sweet.  Thank you so very much for our new family members; We are so happy to have two wonderful girls that seem to make our family seem more complete.

THank you again. Jen D

p.s. I am planning on getting a book on basic dog care (as I realize I am not sure how often we need to give them a bath, clean teeth, etc).  Do you know of any that you would recomend?
