Rosemary was born on February 11th, 2009. She originially came to us with her litter mates and mommy on March 1st, 2009. Rosemary was adopted as a puppy - until her family moved to Sacramento. They must have felt that Rosemary wasn't important enough to take with them, because they moved and left poor Rosemary behind. The requirements we have for adoptions are there for a reason. Rosemary's family never took her to obedience training, and decided she was an expendable member of her family, and instead returned her to Boxers and Buddies instead. As much as we screen potential homes and try to find responsible owners in the end its the dogs that suffer.

Rosemary very much has a "lab" personality. She is sweet and energetic and very eager to please. Rosemary has lost her home and her family once already, can you provide her with the live and care she needs for the rest of her life?

Rosemary was one of 9 puppies in her litter. The puppies were born to her mom, Spice, on a stranger’s porch and quickly relocated to the Elko shelter where the pups lived for 3 weeks before coming to Boxers and Buddies. Now safe and in a foster home, the pups have been handled every day by both adults and children. They have been exposed to other dogs, cats and new environments. Rosemary is one of the middle puppies in size and but is big on personality. Rosemary has the most black on her – making her look the most “Labby”. She is all black except for a little white line on her chest and one white toe.

She is one of the bravest puppies – always investigating new sights and sounds. Rosemary is the sweetest puppy – always there and watching and waiting. She is the least demanding puppy (except at meal times). She really is calm and relaxed and just seems to enjoy everything.

Rosemary - 6 weeks old

Rosemary needs a family that is willing to commit to raising and training a puppy. The cool thing about puppies is they are yours to mold – you can socialize them and make them everything you imagine. The bad thing about puppies is that if you don’t take the time to raise them right, you have no one to blame but yourself.
