| Mankey | Adoption Requirements: • You must be 21 years of age • All current pets in the household MUST be spayed/neutered and current on shots (yes, we do call and verify this information) • We do not place female boxers with other female dogs • Attendance at a professionally run obedience course is a requirement of adoption! • We do not adopt out dogs as gifts • All pets are family companions! |
Update May17, 2010 Becky: You were awesome to work with. Thank you! I just wanted to touch base and let you know how well Mankey (we are going to keep his name) is doing. He was a little timid Sunday night and most of Monday. But Monday night he started coming around and even gave me a kiss. Yesterday - he ruled!! Finally, eating, drinking and doing his business. He and two of the cats have warmed up some, although Mankey is trying let one of them know that he's the boss -- which of course the cat disagrees with. The third cat is woosy and afraid to come out and meet him. Mankey loves sitting on the back of the sofa in the living room and looking out the window. He also loves to cuddle up next to me and run around outside. He ignored his ball until last night at 10:00pm when he decided he wanted to play fetch. (And I wanted to go to bed.) No accidents in the house yet - he's very good about letting me know that he needs to go out. He has already gone for a ride in his booster seat - and seemed to enjoy being able to look out the window. I put him on my Facebook page and got a number of comments about how cute he is. For everyone who thought Mankey was cute and adorable, but didn't adopt him - thank you!! He is a wonderful dog and a great addition to our family. We're looking forward to many years with him and already love him dearly.
