Hi everyone at Boxers and Buddies,

Thought that I would write and let you all know how it is going with me. I came to you all in July 08 very skinny and itchy.  My mood was good, as I did not know much of what a dog with a family was missing.  Remember...you all thought that I had been used for "breeding" and that's all?   Well I now live with two other dogs (my bro and sis) and we all get along great.  Sometimes three can be a crowd when we play but that is okay with me...I just "referee" with my bark!   I have two little girls who love me very much and are very glad that I am here.

They love to listen to me snore.  I like to hang out with them in the front yard and run around with them.  I have not and never will use my mouth on them other then my tongue to kiss them.  I like to sniff around while they play and see if I can find something interesting also.  I do like to chase the chickens that live in our backyard, but I truly hope that I can get over the urge to chase them!!   My grownup Mom is very nice to me.  She feeds me twice-a-day...I am never hungry.  Sometimes I get treats.  Mom also gives me nice soothing baths, with special shampoo, to help me not be so itchy and it really feels great!  I am still itchy sometimes, but with more bathes I will be all better.  My Dad says that I am the Cleanest Dog on our road!  I have my own bed in the upstairs bedroom where my Mom and Dad sleep and I stay there all night.  I also have a crate that I go into sometimes when I have to stay home by myself.  I really love to ride in the car also.  I now take a long walk every morning and I love it...sometimes I even get to run and play in the water!

You know what's funny...when I came home to this house I did not even know how to really go upstairs, or jump into the car, or play with a human.  Now, I love to do all those things!  It is great having a family.  I think that I will stay here if you don't mind?   Love and boxer kisses....

I’m not sure where to start with Ms. Leah. She is a female brindle and white approx 2 yrs old. We don’t know what her back history was like. She was possibly dumped on someone’s doorstep from a local breeder (aren’t backyard breeders nice, responsible people?) She has obviously had pups. So how do I know that she wasn’t bred by a professional breeder? Very easy – this dog is not a show dog. Therefore she was NOT bred for the ONLY reason that any dog should be bred: To better the breed.

Leah came to us with a skin infection, under weight and an eye infection in both eyes. She has already seen a vet and is under treatment. Leah has gotten along with the other dogs and loves kids.

Please help Leah get a home she deserves. She deserves a family and a yard with lots of kids to play with and a couch to sleep on.
