Laurel came in with a respiratory infection. She was still nursing and mom was healthy. She was put on meds but the infection refused to clear. She was given special formula with extra vitamins, medicine and fluids. Laurel still floundered. On Monday, May 11th Laurel was taken to the vet. She was placed on IV fluids, oxygen, and meds. She seemed to pick up for a bit. On Thursday, May 14th, still at the vet, she crashed and passed away.

Laurel had an adoption pending. She was scheduled to go to a home she will never have. May Laurel have more peace and love at the Rainbow Bridge. We'll look for you.

Laurel was born on March 11th, 2009. Laurel was one of 6 puppies in her litter. The puppies were born to her mom, Fleur, in a shelter where the pups lived for 3 weeks before coming to Boxers and Buddies. Now safe and in a foster home, the pups have been handled every day. They will soon be exposed to other dogs, cats and new environments.

The cool thing about puppies is they are yours to mold – you can socialize them and make them everything you imagine. The bad thing about puppies is that if you don’t take the time to raise them right, you have no one to blame but yourself.

I'm interested in Laurel
