Update: March 10, 2009

Hi Becky and others,

We just wanted to give you an update on Helios.

We've renamed him Louie and he is doing very well.  We hope to start obedience classes this weekend with him at PetSmart, but we love him unmannered self as well.  He's working on being potty trained right now and is adjusting to living in a house.

Lots of new things scare him...the oven, the TV, his reflection in a window, but he seems to be adjusting well.  He's improved tremendously on a leash although he still has some fear at times.  He seems to enjoy his walks and his new buddy, Skeetie (our 13 year old yellow lab).  We took some pictures we thought we would share with you.  Thank you again for rescuing him. While he needs a littls work, we can't imagine why anyone would have given him up or want to euthanize him.  He is just a joy...mischevious and puppy like, but a joy nonetheless.
