Sometimes rescue makes you hate people. Okay, most of the time rescue makes you hate people. What people do to their animals, or don't do for their animals, is remarkable.

Hazel was bought from a breeder as a puppy and loved - for a while. Hazel is a female Boxer. This means more to people that are familiar with the breed. It means she's bossy, stubborn and dominant. To true Boxer people, those aren't negitive traits - they're what makes the breed who they are.

Hazel also had a boy boxer in her household. Being true to her boxer-self, Hazel bossed him around - a lot. She dominated him and pushed him and annoyed him just like the big boxer sister she is.

Hazel's mommy had no problem with Hazel's behavior, until she found out she was expecting.

With her owner 3 months pregnant, Hazel's rambuctious boxer behavior was no longer cute, now it was dangerous. What if Hazel played rough around the baby and the dogs got in a scuffle? The only logical thing to do was hire a trainer. Instead, the owners dumped Hazel.

Hazel isn't a bad dog and did nothing to deserve her abandonment. Hazel needs a family that will love her as much as she loves them.
