Good morning Sarah,

We adopted George few weeks ago.

George is doing well, except his elbow hygroma. We visit a vet and soon we will schedule a surgery for George. The vet told us that the hygroma will not disappear by itself and surgery is necessary. I wonder if you can recommend a good vet for George surgery? We have North Hills Vet Clinic very close but we are not sure if they are good - do you have any opinion about them? We want to find a good vet for George to be sure that he will be fine after the procedure and nobody will made any additional damage to him.

The second issue I would like to ask you is the obedience training for us and George. During George graduation I spoke with Melissa (I hope I remember her name correctly) and she recommend the training at Dogz Inc. Could you please inform us when the classes starts and how much will cost?

Adoption Requirements:

• You must be 21 years of age

• All current pets in the household MUST be spayed/neutered and current on shots (yes, we do call and verify this information)

• We do not place female boxers with other female dogs

• Attendance at a professionally run obedience course is a requirement of adoption!

• We do not adopt out dogs as gifts

• All pets are family companions!

Finally, I attached a photo of George and our daughter Antonina They play together pretty well. Sometimes George is rough for her, but this is because he is giant and so strong and do not always remember how big dog he is. George is also very good with our cat. At the beginning we have a few incidents - you know, cats run, dogs chase - but currently they co-exist very peacefully. George sometimes tries to lick the cat and steal his food, but except this there are no problems.
We love George very much and we are really grateful that we have the chance to adopt him.

With best regards.
Piotr

George

English Mastiff

Age: 1 Year

Size: X-Large (150+ lbs)

Gender: Male

Dogs: Yes

Kids: Yes

Cats: Unknown

Came in: 05/13/09

George is a purebred English Mastiff. At 11 months old he weighed 157 pounds. He is not full-grown and once filed out is expected to top 200 pounds. He is NOT a small dog.

Because of his size, he should not be placed with tiny dogs. He can kill them just by stepping on or tripping over them.

George is currently having some issues with leash aggression. Leash aggression is when out for a walk on lead and George sees another dog he will lunge at the dog barking and growling.

You may have already come to the conclusion that this is a problem. George is currently attending an obedience class to focus on his aggression issues. He is already showing improvement but has several weeks left.

George needs a home that is familiar with giant breeds and willing to maintain his training and attend an (mandatory) obedience class once they adopt. George is going to be a great dog, but he needs some help to get there. Are you the right person to help George reach his potential?

I'm interested in George
