Fleur is French for flower and you won't find a sweeter blossom than this wonderful girl. Her amazing personality betrays her history. Fleur is a senior dog that was bred over and over again. She was found as a stray, wandering the streets looking for food and shelter - and extremely pregnant. Animal control picked her up and brought her to the shelter. The day after she arrived at the shelter she gave birth to 6 puppies. A shelter environment is  no place for a mom and her babies and all of them became ill within a few weeks. Even being saved by Boxers and Buddies was not enough. 3 of Fleur's puppies were too sick to pull through and passed away.
Fleur has been through a lot - more than any family member should. She is mellow, calm and loving. She's good with kids, cats and other dogs. Fleur just wants a family to love her and treat her the way she deserves to be treated.
