No, it’s not a figment of your imagination – it’s a Great Dane puppy! Figment has some issues that AREN’T disabilities! Because no one tells dogs that they’re disabled and can’t do things, the dogs never find out! Figment was born partially seeing in one eye and partially hearing in one ear. These conditions don’t really affect her at all, but there are some issues a new pet parent should keep in mind. Figment would not be an appropriate placement with an infant or toddler. This isn’t because of her disabilities as much as it is due to the fact that she is a HUGE puppy. She has no control over which way her feet, tail and head go – and sometimes they all go in different directions at the same time!

Because this flying phenomenon could seriously injure a small child that isn’t Great Dane savvy, we prefer to protect your children and Figment’s fragile psyche! She couldn’t live with herself if she knew she hurt a child!

Figment’s partial sight causes her to run into things, knock them over and accidentally step on them. Her partial hearing causes her to startle and jump up quickly when touched or awakened – She NEVER snaps, growls or tries to bite. Because of Figment' special needs, she requires a home with another, other dog to help guide her. She would do best in a family with previous Great Dane experience.
