Fauna is a sweet little pit-mix puppy. The deep red color of her coat is absolutely beautiful. She was born sometime around January 2009. She is very gentle and a little shy. She likes other dogs and has been staying in a foster home with cats so she is cat-friendly. You can see from her photo that her eyes look a little red and watery. She was born with entropic eyelids. This is the inward rolling of the eyelid, most commonly the lower lid. This in turn irritates the surface of the eye (the cornea) and could cause visual impairment, ulcers, blindness and other assorted eye related problems if not corrected.

Lucky for Miss Fauna, we caught the problem within a week of her arrival and already have her scheduled to have her eyelids repaired.
