Adoption Requirements: • You must be 21 years of age • All current pets in the household MUST be spayed/neutered and current on shots (yes, we do call and verify this information) • We do not place female boxers with other female dogs • Attendance at a professionally run obedience course is a requirement of adoption! • We do not adopt out dogs as gifts • All pets are family companions! |
Update: 3/14/08 Charisma has been with us about two weeks now, and the change is stunning. Her hair is growing back beautifully and the boxer she will be is starting to emerge! |

Charisma is appropriately named. This little dog had people grinning in the vet's waiting room despite her horrific appearance. She wiggles and sniffs and play bows and springs about just like the puppy she is! Her sweet, outgoing disposition brightens whatever room she's in. She doesn't seem to know that she's mangy and ill (fever was at 104 last night). She is just a love and going to be the most beautiful dog once she gets some fur! Charisma has Demodetic Mange – this is caused by a skin mite that all dogs have – but if they go through a period of neglect, malnourishment, or stress, the mite can take over and destroy the hair follicles. It is NOT contagious, but it is an itchy and debilitating process, but lucky for our girls, completely curable. If Charisma shines through when she is itchy and miserable, imagine her outstanding personality once she’s healed! |
