Now seriously, Biff is a cute puppy. Found as a stray, Biff was brought to the shelter. A week in the shelter for a puppy is a lifetime.

Biff was taken from the shelter by Boxers and Buddies and brought to safety. He is now in a foster home learning some basic manners and potty training.

Biff, also called Barf - not because of any problems with digestion, but as a tribute to the man dog from Spaceballs and also because he seems to like the way it sounds - almost like "bark", is a happy, playful puppy. He likes stuffed toys - his favorite is a giraffe. He plays tug of war and likes to torment is foster boxer sister.

Getting a puppy is a big deal. Adopters need to understand that a dog is a lifelong commitment - for Boxers that can mean upwards of 12 to 15 years. They aren't disposable when you move, when you have another baby, when you get a new dog, when it tears things up or barks at night or gets sick or gets hurt. Dogs cost money and puppies cost more money than most.

Puppies need the right food, the right training and socialization, they need to constantly be exposed to new people and new dogs. They're cute and cuddly and adorable in every way. They're also a LOT of work.

Having a puppy is like having a child. They need constant supervising, human interaction, care and comfort.

Puppies grow up fast. One day its a little cuddly pooch in your arms and the next it's a 50 pound dog that is knocking over your kids and jumping up on company. Professionally run puppy classes will be mandatory with adoption and the responsibility of the adopter. Biff needs the best you have to offer - he deserves it.
