She is doing great, Bodhi just can't get enough of her and Astrid just wants to cozy up here by my feet or on the bed!    Bodhi is like "yay yay yay let's play play play!"  Astrid is like "I want to relax!"  Bodhi is finally calming down and getting used to the fact that she is staying!  I think he wanted to play so much because he thought she was just visiting!   We are going to get some of the Dick Van Patten Food today, which do you use there?  I see Sweet Potato and Salmon on the PetCo site, is that the one?  Or do we get wet food or the rolls?  If so, which ones?   Today she got some scrambled eggs and some boiled chicken, she did not complain a bit!  She has done all pottys outside and is very intrigued by the goats.  She met Pita the cat who hissed at her and that was enough for Astrid to say 'okay, I'll just leave you be!'   Last night we noticed after she went pee outside and hopped on the bed she leaked a little urine, I've not noticed it again, could this be that she maybe was not 'done' yet, like peed and ran before finishing up?  She was very hesitant to go outside, we think she thought she was going to be left there.  She now is confident that she can come in and out as she pleases :)   ~Alethea  :)

Astrid is a sweet and loving little female Boxer. She was abandon, pregnant, as a stray in California. She wandered the streets until Animal Control took her in and helped her birth her one puppy. The puppy, of course, got adopted right away, but Astrid, the beautiful little mom-dog, was scheduled for euthanasia.

Thanks to a dedicated team of volunteers from California to Nevada, Astrid's life was spared as she was taken to Boxers and Buddies.

Astrid is an excited little girl - you would be too given a 2nd leash on life - and she is looking for an active home that will love her and keep her as one of the family forever!
