Dug the Thug Pug

Dug is a pug/Jack Russell mix. He loves to be with people and likes all other dogs – big and little. Dug is okay with cats and loves toys and loves to play.

When Dug came to Boxers and Buddies he had been wearing a coat that he had literally “grown into”. The coat had to be cut from his body, along with his fur and some of his skin. The bleeding wounds left huge areas without fur that took months to heal completely. His hair has all grown back now but he is on a special allergy formula food (available at any Petco) to keep him healthy.

Dug is looking for someone to love that will love him in return. He is a fairly active dog – loving to run and play. He is not yet housebroken but will be with patience, time and a loving owner. Dug really needs a forever home of his own. He is such a wonderful boy.

He had a home temporarily but the lady is going through chemo treatments for cancer and with the sickness and weakness from the treatments did not feel like she could provide for Dug as well.

Dug is a “thug pug” because he doesn’t understand that he weight about 12 pounds and thinks he can do anything. He is a big dog in a tiny body and ecxellent for someone that wants a small dog, but not a foo foo lap dog. Dug is actibe and would love hiking, camping, going to the park or any other activity his new family is into.
